THE ATTITUDE OF INGRATITUDE PROVOKES GOD

Psalms 78:9-11

The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them

The Children of Ephraim forgot the wonderful things God showed them, they forgot the marvelous things God did in the sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt,

They forgot how God divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap. They forgot how in the daytime he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. They forgot how He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths, how He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers they forgot.

Instead being thankful and appreciative to God for all the marvelous and wonderful things He did for them they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness and they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. They spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

They failed God and God's response to their provoking attitude and ingratitude is captured 78 Psalms 78:21 "Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel"

Because they failed God, and trusted not in his salvation.

Hear this: Any time we stop thanking God, we start failing God.

Counsel is: Be appreciative and thankful for all the marvelous and wonderful things God has done for you in 2020 and the past years. No matter what did not work as expected don't be tempted to speak against God or provoke Him with the attitude of ingratitude

We pray for you today may you never fail God with the attitude of ingratitude. Recieve grace to be thankful at all time in Jesus name.
