Fervent prayer

Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirsts for righteousness: for they shall be filled"

Desire equals hunger and urgency while fervency equals passion and zeal.

Richard Watson wrote "Prayer without fervency is no prayer, it is speaking not praying."

Ackers adds" incense can neither smell nor ascend without fire; no more does prayer ascend, unless it arises from spiritual warmth & fervency.

Cold lifeless & idle prayer are like birds without wings.

Hear this; unless our prayers has fervent force; it has no power to overcome difficulties and win victories.

Fervency means to cry out.
In 1kings 17:22 Elijah had to cry out to rise the widow's son.

E M Bounds said "heaven is too busy to listen to half-hearted prayer.

Elijah was a man of passions, listen to his praying in the death chamber, watch him pray on caramel, all you see is passion displayed in His prayer.

Men of passion are men who plead for others e.g Abraham pleading for Sodom, men who wrestle e.g Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, sweat in the place of prayer e.g Jesus in a sweat of blood.

Hear this; fervency turns ordinary mortal into men of power, fervency brings power, fire, rain, life and God.

I Pray for you: may God baptized you afresh with the passion and zeal for prayer, may God increase your spiritual warmth, temperature and fervent in the place of prayer. Like Elijah, May your prayers from today bring down power, fire, rain, life and God's presence to where you are in Jesus name. You are blessed... Good morning...
